WW1 Weekend

Whether you live in Litton or not, join our village on the weekend of 4-6 June in commemorating those who died in World War One whilst recognizing also, the efforts of peacemakers all over the world.

During that weekend, there’ll be a concert, a WW1 Poetry Soundscape and a ceremony re-dedicating the field behind the village church. (It was donated to the village in the 1920s by a Miss Penfold in memory of those who fell in the war. It’s thought that her fiancé was one of the war victims.)

And for fun, there’ll be a ‘field party’ (bit like a street party but on grass!) for children and adults near the end of it all. (Fancy dress perhaps? Who knows?!)

If you live in Litton and have a relative or relatives who died in WW1, please let us know by calling 01298 871564, so that we can include them in our commemorations.
