Tideswell Singers enjoyed sociable evening of drinks, nibbles and informal rehearsing before their summer break. This friendly choir makes sure there are opportunities for the Singers to get together and build on the friendships that help them bond as a performing group.

This certainly came over in their recent concert as part of the Chelmorton Festival, where one of the audience commented ‘I thought I was going to be bored out of my mind but it was really good!’ Our aim is to convince more people how enjoyable choral music is, both for listener and singer.

Do think about coming along to join this friendly, non-audition choir which is active in the community and sings music in a great variety of styles. You will be given a very warm welcome and discover the health and well-being benefits of singing in a choir!

Rehearsals start again Wednesday 6 September when they will begin preparing for their annual Come & Sing event on Saturday 28 October. This year the work to be Haydn’s Nelson Mass. We will be joined again by young musicians from the University of Sheffield.

Tideswell Singers meet every Wednesday at 7:30pm in Litton Village Hall (Litton Church every second Wednesday of the month).
