Tom Hilton ex-Deputy Head of Pursglove School in the 1950’s passed away suddenly on Tuesday 10th May at home in his sleep in Bakewell aged 95. Tom remained a popular figure with his ex-pupils keeping in touch well into his old age. He also made significant contribution to the recent book about Tideswell. He was also a member of the very successful Tideswell football club of the 1950’s. Funeral arrangements are a private family cremation followed by a Thanksgiving service in Tideswell Church on Friday 3rd June at 11.30am followed by a wake at the George. All old colleagues and pupils are welcome to attend. No flowers please but any donations will go to MacMillan Nurses.

Thank you John Hilton
