After a shake up in the summer last year Tideswell now has 2 senior teams. The first team play in the Central Midlands North Division and the reserves in the Hope Valley premier league.

The first team is managed by Dave Bradbury, assisted by Mark Bradbury and Ant Ollerenshaw.

Dave has spent the last five years coaching at Buxton FC. The move to Tideswell seemed to be the right thing toespecially as the facilities warrant a good standard of football to be played there.

After a lot of hard work getting the ground and squad ready, we finally got underway in mid August. We have now played half our league games and sit exactly halfway in the table. We have two games in hand on most and if we win those we go up into the top four.

The standard of football is without doubt a lot higher than local football. Most pleasing is that we are competing well in this higher league – our biggest concern at the start of the season. We have the ambition to make it better and progress the team over the coming years.

I believe their are players playing locally that are good enough to step up to this level. They can get in touch with me. My details are listed below.

All the hard work done couldn’t have been done without financial backing. A big thank you to our new kit sponsor E & R Country Lettings, D G Bradshaw Ltd and Richard Lane Transport. Their is still plenty of opportunities for sponsorship within the club. Financial support is vital for any football club.

Also we require volunteers to help on match days, serving teas, coffees etc, someone to take the gate money, sell programs, raffle tickets etc etc.Tideswell and the surrounding area has a lot of people and I’m sure their are some who would like to get involved. If not come and cheer the lads on. A good level of football is on your doorstep.
