Tideswell Community Orchard

We want to make a Community Orchard in Tideswell so that everyone in Tideswell can share & enjoy the harvests and also help save heritage apple varieties from being lost forever.  We hope to plant a Children’s Orchard in Richard Lane and plant a Heritage Orchard, with a wild flower meadow, on Wheston Bank.  Our aim is to plant young maiden trees this winter and have a Grand Opening on Armistice Day next year to celebrate 100 years since the end of the First World War.

To make this a reality we really need your help and support – you can become a ‘Friend ofTidza Orchard’, or join our ‘Tidza Orchard Working Party’, or simply enter the prize draw by buying an apple from our “Fundraising Apple Tree” and tell us your favourite apple from our wish list. For all details, including our “Fundraising Apple Tree”, please visit our website at (tidzaorchard.wixsite.com/tidza-orchard). You can also email tidzaorchard@yahoo.com or call  01298 937005 for more details.

We will be showing our plans & ideas at the Parish Council Open Day at St John the Baptist Church on 9th September. Please come and say hello.

The Tidza Orchard Team.
