T’ai Chi for Life – Get a Spring in your Step

December 9, 2017 | 0 Comments | Filed under: 2018, January 2018

T’ai Chi is a form of gentle, physical exercise, which can also lead to a healthier way of life. What better way to begin 2018? A new T’ai Chi class is starting in Tideswell on 22 January, 6.15 – 7.15pm, in the upstairs room at the George Hotel. All are welcome.

T’ai Chi doesn’t require any special equipment – just wear loose, comfortable clothes and shoes. Slow, gradual movements will gently exercise all your muscles, and develop balance, strength, aerobic capacity and flexibility. The exercises also help maintain good mental health and combine well with mindfulness activities. The movements are suitable for men and women of all ages and levels of fitness, and it is a recommended form of exercise for older people to help them with balance and self confidence.

Margaret Wood will be our tutor for this new class. Margaret is a fully qualified T’ai Chi instructor and already runs several classes in the Hope Valley and Tideswell area. Classes will cost £30 for six sessions, or £6 for individual sessions. For more information, Margaret can be contacted at 07740 535743, or taichiinhopevalley@gmail.com
