Red Hat Day for Fountain Square Restoration

A leading theatre company is coming to Tideswell to help the Fountain Square restoration. Come to the show: help raise funds.

New Perspectives perform He Wore A Red Hat in Fountain Square Church on 12th December as a fundraiser for the church’s Living Stones project. It’s a festive comedy mystery.

The idea was developed between Tideswell Community Players and New Perspectives, who have been coming here for many years. The Players first brought New Perspectives here with Thank God For Cod in 2002.

The Players left the URC Hall in 2009 when it closed. They are eager to support the redevelopment, which has an exciting space ideal for performance, and are already planning to help with lighting. This performance will give playgoers a chance to contribute to the restoration.

New Perspectives Executive Director Sally Anne Tye said “We are delighted to return to Tideswell. We know fundraising is vital: to develop and tour our work or to help support rural communities. The play will help Tideswell raise funds for the project.”

He Wore A Red Hat: Great fun and suitable for everyone, ages 12 to 112! Don’t miss it, help the restoration!

7:30pm Saturday 12th December. All tickets £12. 20% of every ticket sold goes towards the project. Tickets from Tideswell Post Office.
