Posada is back

Did you see the beautiful wooden Nativity figures that travelled around the village last year? Posada is based on a South American custom, and the figures of Mary, Joseph and the donkey, and also the three Wise Men, will spend one night in homes and shop windows from November 30th up till Christmas Day. Look out for them displayed in windows – lists of their hosts are pinned up outside our churches. This year there is a new set – the shepherds and their sheep, thanks to local artist Fiona Rogers – and these will travel around the farms and homes in Wormhill. Litton is also launching its own Posada this Advent. All the figures will come together at the village Christmas Day service, to be held this year at the Parish Church at 10am.
