Last year was been a very busy year for us. The entries we received for the Poetry Competition led us to produce the very successful booklet of Poems and Short Stories. The re-vamp of the Fountain Square Telephone Kiosk began. Recording your memories continued and Tideswell Community Players put on a very good performance in the Church during Wakes Week, bringing to life some of your memories.

A huge thank you to all who have contributed and helped us. 2014 will see the completion of our project so it will be a busy time for us, if you feel you can contribute please get in touch we will be happy for you to come on board.

A date for the diary that’s not to be missed – Sunday 23rd February 2014

A slideshow of old photographs with a commentary of who, when and where. Maybe you can help us identify some places and dates. Many of the snaps have been taken from a large selection of glass plates, dated from around the late 1800s to early 1900s and kindly donated by the Chapman family. A nostalgic tour of Tidza and the surrounding area. Look out for the venue and time on the posters which will be displayed around the village sometime in January.

We all wish you a Very Happy Christmas and all the best for 2014.
