Litton Parish Matters

The parish council has been made aware of proposals to build five and possibly seven affordable houses in Litton and Litton Dale and one private house in Cressbrook. The council has prepared a Public Notice which includes information about these which is displayed on council notice boards and the website and is summarised below.

That an affordable housing need survey is to be undertaken in the Parish by Derbyshire Dales DC . They will be sending information to all households in October. If you are in housing need and have a strong local connection with the Parish please respond before the closing date of 2 November.

Housing Survey staff will be available on Tuesday 14 October between 4.15 – 6.45 pm. at Litton Village Hall. You can discuss your housing needs with them there.

A representative of the Peak District Rural Housing Association will also be there to provide information about their proposed three and four affordable houses in Litton. Other proposals are outlined in the notice.

When the survey result is available in November the parish council will hold a public consultation meeting with residents to listen to their views on the proposed developments The agenda, time and venue will be published nearer the time.

Please read the full notice and contact a councillor or the clerk if you need clarification. The council wants to ensure all residents in the parish know what is going on and to have the opportunity to make their views known.
