Kitchen Garden

We now have a number of new volunteers interested in helping with the Kitchen Garden, and this interest has been consolidated by a very positive ‘Friends of Taste Tideswell’ meeting on 16 October. Friends of Taste Tideswell has been set up to continue community garden work since the closure of the School of Food, aided by a Health Development Fund grant from the Derbyshire Dales Council for Voluntary Service. On 16 October the group discussed ways in which garden productivity and publicity might be improved further over the coming year, including strengthening links with the fortnightly Wednesday Luncheon Club and making plans and available produce more visible in the village. We also have the installation of some more raised beds to look forward to!

The group’s Annual General Meeting will be held on Saturday 12 December at 13:30 in the Church Institute. If you are interested in coming along you are more than welcome, so please do join us!
