snowman-199x300The second annual Litton Christmas Cracker Fell Race is taking place on Sunday 13 December at 11am.  Starting and finishing on Litton Village Green, outside the village shop, it’s a 12.2km (7.6 mile) run that takes in road, path, moor and river (if the Wye is high!).

Last year 130 brave souls ran and this year it already looks likely the numbers will be higher.

It costs £5 to enter (or £7 on the day) and profit is split between The Friends of Litton Village, Buxton Mountain Rescue and Tideswell Running Club (to help them fund future club development).

More details and links to the online booking is at  And if you don’t want to run it, why not come along and give the runners a hearty cheer and support these worthy causes?
