On Thursday 8th February, Bishop Pursglove School hosted a year 5/6 hockey tournament. All Y5/6 children were involved and they had a fantastic time. Everyone enjoyed their afternoon and it was a great experience. Bishop Pursglove had A, B and C. They all did extremely well. In the first game team, Team C played against Bakewell and they drew 1-1. Esme White said, “Even though we drew our first game, I am really pleased with my team and think they all deserve a medal!” Later, Team B performed perfectly and won 3-0 against Baslow. Finally, Team, A played a game and won 6-0. Teams A and B made it into the Final Round Robin. Team A played against Bakewell in the final and won 1-0 to become the champions again. Jasper Malcolm (Team A’s Captain) said, “ I can’t believe we have won again. I am so surprised!” Harry Knox said, “It was a great feeling to win especially when I scored the winning goal!” We all had a great day and all loved it!
