As part of The National Theatre’s 50th anniversary celebrations, Tideswell Cinema has two screenings this month, in their NT Live season.

On Tuesday 22 October, a dynamic new production of Shakespeare’s tragedy Hamlet will be shown, with Rory Kinnear taking the lead role. The Times writes “Tremendous. Rory Kinnear’s performance is superb. This is a Hamlet for now.” The Independent comments “A chilling production that demands to be seen”.

On Thursday 31 October, the acclaimed production of Frankinstein will be screened. On different nights, Benedict Cumberbatch and Jonny Lee Miller alternate in the roles of Victor Frankenstein and his creation, and both won the coveted Olivier Award in 2012 for their superb performances.

Two productions will be screened the following week – Vepres Siciliennes from The Royal Opera House on Monday 4 November, and on Thursday 7 November the play Habit of Art from the National Theatre.

All are shown at The George, and for further details visit www.tideswellcinema.com. To book tickets, either email tideswellcinema@gmail.com or phone 01298 872993.
