Fw: Strictly Bishop Pursglove

During the last term, Years One and Two from Bishop Pursglove CE Primary School have been busily learning to do The Charleston. Steps have been remembered, arms have been flapped and smiles as big as our faces have been squeezed out. It wasn’t easy, but every single child worked very hard to put the work in.

And so, on Thursday 2nd March, with a swing in our step, we climbed on board our bus to head to Sheffield to take part in the 2017 Cluster Dance Festival. Our dance was set to a piece of music from Bugsy Malone, which gave us the opportunity to dress up as 1920s gangsters and dancers.

The children had a fantastic day watching the other schools perform their dances and learning a cheerleading dance, which included very dramatic lifts, led by the staff from Felicity White’s school of dance and Cheermania. However, the highlight of the day was having the opportunity to share our dance with the audience. All the children were amazing and their performance was flawless. I was incredibly proud of all of them.
