Food Festival 2013 Dear Village

I am writing on behalf of the organising team to say were pleased to see so many Tideswell people at this year’s Food Festival and we hope that everyone really enjoyed the day. Since the Festival, I have received many messages from stall holders, visitors and Tideswell folk and a constant theme was of the great atmosphere that was experienced. That great atmosphere was down to the people of Tideswell who were welcoming, out to have fun and enjoy the whole event.

Tideswell Food Festival is a community event and I was particularly pleased to hear that over £1000 was raised for local good causes including Tideswell Scouts, TASC, Tideswell Community Association and the Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.

It would not be possible to hold such an event without the help of many people and we were extremely grateful to the people of Church Street, Fountain Street and Cherry Tree Square in particular, who allowed the stalls outside their doors and were of course key to the Street Market€™ theme which works so well. Also, our sincere thanks goes to all those who helped out on the day, whether by providing a source of electricity, erecting stalls, as stewards, or in whatever capacity.

Thank you again.
