A date for all fell runners is Saturday 14th May for the annual Cressbrook Crawl Fell Race. Registration fee on the day is £7 from 9.15 am in the Cressbrook Club and the race starts at 10.45am. Runners can pre-book the £3 lunch in the club which is served from 12.30 pm and there is a pint of Peak Ale for all runners at the finish of the race.

The race started in 2005 and has gone from strength to strength, now attracting up to 150 runners. It is known for the wide contrasts on it’s 10K route which encompass the high pastureland above the Monsal Dale and dipping twice to river level with two steep uphill sections and a sometimes slippery steep down hill to the Wye banks near White Lodge.

It is a Fell Runners Association registered event so local clubs send their best runners and teams from Lincolnshire and Cheshire enjoy the hilly challenge and friendly venue.
