The Kitchen Garden has had a storming summer and thanks to all who have worked in the garden and those who have donated seeds and equipment, we have managed to grow a fantastic array of vegetables and fruit. And so much has been happening too.

LUNCHEON CLUB: a successful harvest has meant that we have been able to offer produce to the Luncheon Club. So far they’ve enjoyed our broad beans, runner beans, beetroot, onions, peas, sugar snaps and blackcurrants.

ALLOTMENT SHOW – we entered six different vegetables and were thrilled to win first prize for two – beetroot and shallots.

MOSAIC PROJECT – We had visitors from the National Park’s Mosaic Project. Lots of produce was picked from the garden that went towards making a fantastic and fun multicultural feast.

COOKERY DEMONSTRATIONS – Joe (School of Food Chef) has used the produce for his many demonstrations including the Buxton Festival, Bakewell Show and Chatsworth Country Fair.
