Come & Sing 2017

Tideswell Singers’ annual ‘Come & Sing’ has gained a reputation for a day of high quality music making with warm welcome. This year it will be on Saturday 28 October and the work is Haydn’s Nelson Mass.
Young musicians from the University of Sheffield will be joining the participants for the day and working with the chamber orchestra is one of the factors that makes this singing day special from the musical perspective.

Homemade cakes during the day and the opportunity to socialise after the performance with cheese and wine also help to make this an appealing event. But surely the overall friendly atmosphere of the villagers of Tideswell and their pride in the beautiful Cathedral of the Peak make this an event that many choral singers return to every year.

You can be part of this experience by coming along to Tideswell Singers who are currently learning the music so that they will have the confidence to lead the participants who will be joining us.
It is also possible to come along just for the day – please register by picking up a leaflet from the church or download one from www.tideswellsingers.org.uk.

If you would prefer to listen, rather than participate, we welcome audience to the final performance at 6pm, which will also include a solo item from Sheffield University Chamber Orchestra.
Tideswell Singers rehearse on Wednesdays at 7:30pm in Litton Village Hall (Litton Church every second Wednesday of the month).
