Christmas treats are on their way to Tideswell Cinema-goers this December with live broadcasts of a sparkling ballet and a brand new comedy, upstairs at the George Inn.

First we have the Royal Ballet’s festive delight, The Nutcracker, in which a young girl’s enchanted Christmas present leads her on a magical adventure, danced toTchaikovsky’s magnificent score. Live from the Royal Opera House, TheNutcracker is on Tue Dec 5 at 7.15pm.

Two days later, on Thur Dec 7 at 7pm, we have Young Marx, a new comedy by Richard Bean and Clive Coleman, the first live broadcast from the brand new Bridge Theatre, in London.

Starring Rory Kinnear and Oliver Chris, Young Marx covers the early, riotous and profane career of the political philosopher in London as he struggles with financial and marital woes egged on by his colleague Engels.

TheNutcracker is £15 (£12.50 concessions), and Young Marx is £10 (£7.50 for under-19s).
