Before we delve into the detailed & complex statistical analysis of our latest bowling results you really should be girding up your loins for the infamous Rock ‘n’ Bowls in the middle of Wakes Week on Wed June 6th starting at 6.30 p.m.. Yet again you’™ll be regaled with wit & ‘€˜humour’€™ of Wain & Wrighty, the temptingly tasteful pork butties from The Master Carver Mr. Gibby, and a chance to win the legendary Toilet Duck in Marie’s Bottle Tombola.

You can also regale us with your flamboyantly designed hat in the Funny Hat competition,€“ so come along cos it’ll be fun one way or the other. At both of these events you’€™ll be able to buy Diana’€™s devious quiz sheet, modestly priced at only £1. And you have ‘€˜til the end of September to complete it. And now for some bowling.

The Monday League team are 5th out of eleven & striving ever harder under the inspirational captaincies of Ken Fawcett & Terry Shaw. The Mixed up Pairs had a notable win against Peak Dale on a cold & drizzly evening when all four pairs won. Miss Sarah Hollis, in her debut appearance, had an excellent start to her professional career with the modest Michael Watson. Will she be the queen of the green?

The Thursday Vets are 4th out of twelve but only because captains Diana Cameron & Alan Thornton are laying the rusty barbed wire on hard.

DO NOT forget that Friday night is club night so see you on the green after 6 p.m.
