Year 3 and 4 pupils at Bishop Pursglove, had a fantastic time at Hope Cement works, doing a variety of outdoor activities as part of their forest school programme.

Run by Derbyshire Wildlife Trust, children were able to explore woodland surrounding the works and worked in teams to use bow saws to cut branches in order to make their very own woodland name plaques.

As part of the programme, to develop confidence and teamwork skills over the next few weeks, pupils can look forward to building shelters and making fires.
